I often come to the defense of Miss Spears. She may very well stay around a while. But while listening to this album last night, I am sorry to say, I sure hope she doesn't. The album seems like an attempt at --- something I can't quite put my finger on. It's very disjointed. A little reggae here, some hip-hop, a badly assembled first single "Me Against The Music" featuring Madonna. Some weird tinky ballads. I almost liked the song "Breathe On Me" but it sounds unfinished. Like she could have gone all the way and made it something magestic, like Madonna's "Rain". Instead, it's an example of what all these songs sound like, skeletons of other artists who could do the material much better. Shades of No Doubt and Janet Jackson come through. I'm wondering who is actually still buying Britney Spears albums?

Well, actually I do, and in fact I buy two of them, one to open and listen to, and another to hold onto. Britney is doing the same thing that Madonna did 20 years ago, selling records based on her talent, which you don't feel is even there, and the critics said the same thing about Madonna. Britney is experimental and is willing to do things with her music that other artists are afraid to even try! I applaud her for sticking to her guns and by putting out music that she likes and is proud of, becuase I am proud of her and will continue to buy them. But you have a right to your opinion, and I applaud you in doing so in a tasteful manner rather then saying she's a total ho and sell out! Oh, by the by, you said that you can hear shades of No Doubt and Janet Jackson coming out of the music, as if that were a bad thing?? Have a great night!!!

all the songs on britney's album is good! its one of her best albums, i have all of them. so people do buy her albums, if not she wouldnt be doing it way big! and its not just little young white girls... oh no, not may people can admit it, but we all like britney!
as for me im a spanish female, and i loved britney from the start, lil'kim comes second.
